International Fire Code

The Black Forest Fire/Rescue Protection District has adopted the 2003 Edition of the International Fire Code (IFC) with Local Amendments.

By adopting the IFC, and becoming more involved in the development and construction of our communities, we are able to gain the greatest amount of fire protection for the least amount of burden to our taxpayers.

Enforcement of Section 903.2.7 of the 2003 Edition of the International Fire Code with Local Amendments ("2003 International Fire Code"), titled "Group R Sprinklers", will commence on June 1, 2008. Read the complete announcement
