Black Forest Fire Rescue activates Stage II Fire Restrictions

Black Forest Fire Rescue has issued Stage II burn restrictions effective today April 12th, 2022. Due to extreme dry weather, low humidity values, projected warmer and drier than normal weather, and the limited amount of resources available to respond to an initial fire attack, we have increased the fire restrictions to Stage II.

This means, no open burning is allowed, no use of fireworks and explosive materials to include “exploding” targets, tracer, or incendiary rounds. Smoking only in a building or enclosed vehicle. All recreational fire permits are suspended. Please see the Fire Restrictions Guide for further information and acts allowed.

Outdoor cooking is allowed using natural gas or propane grills on non-combustible surfaces. Natural gas or propane fueled outdoor fire pits or fireplaces are allowed on non-combustible surfaces.
