DESCRIPTION:BLACK FOREST FIRE/RESCUE PROTECTION DISTRICT\n11445 TEACHOUT ROAD\nCOLORADO SPRINGS\, CO 80908\n(719) 495-4300\nPUBLIC NOTICE OF SCHEDULED WORK SESSION OF THE\nBLACK FOREST FIRE/RESCUE PROTECTION DISTRICT\nPUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of the Black Forest Fire/Rescue Protection District\, of the County of El Paso\, State of Colorado\, will conduct a work session/community meeting on:\nFebruary 24\, 2025\, 7-9 pm: Community Meeting to receive input from Members of the District\nBFFD Station 1\, 11445 Teachout Rd\, Colorado Springs\, CO 80908\nThe Board of Directors will take input from the community on the priorities for fire and EMS service in Black Forest and assess the strengths\, weaknesses\, opportunities and challenges of the Black Forest Fire Department\, as the District Board of Directors evaluates options for the future of the Fire Department.\nOptions being considered include retaining the traditional structure the Fire Department operates under today\, or alternative delivery models such as contracting for service with a different Fire Department to provide Fire/EMS services to Black Forest\, pursuing some form of Regional Fire Authority\, or possible merger with another fire district.\nAll members of the District are invited to attend to discuss what is important to you when you consider what the vision for the Black Forest Fire Department will be.
