Below are the guidelines for Stage I and Stage II burn bans as regulated by the Black Forest Fire Rescue Protection District. These Fire Restrictions are put in place by analyzing current and projected weather along with conditions around the region. We also take into consideration the potential for a large fire with limited firefighting resources available. 

In 2023 we are experiencing dry conditions with low humidity factors and very little moisture. Implementing fire restrictions is not something we do randomly or without consideration of the community, the main goal of these restrictions is to maintain the safety of the forest and its citizens.
