Station Tours

Black Forest Fire Rescue would like to welcome you to be our guest!

Fire Station Tours are an excellent way to gain first-hand knowledge about life in a fire station. Tours are available to various community groups such as:

  • Families
  • Preschools
  • School Groups
  • Scout Groups
  • Church Groups

Tours generally last 30 minutes and include visiting the firefighter living quarters, viewing fire and medical equipment and discussion of fire and life safety practices. It is important to keep in mind that emergency calls remain a priority, so crews may have to end a tour early to respond to an incident.

Children must be closely supervised. There should be at least one adult per four children. Children under the age of four are discouraged from tours since they are often frightened by the excitement and do not understand the tour.

Black Forest Fire Rescue does not host birthday parties or send fire engines to birthday parties. However, birthday groups are encouraged to call and stop by the fire station for a tour as part of their special day.

Tours are held Monday – Friday anytime between 9 am – 4 pm.

All tours will be held at station 1 11445 Teachout Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80908

We do not schedule tours ahead of time due to the unpredictability of the job. We ask that you call 719-495-4300 roughly 30 minutes prior to the time you want to visit. If our crews are not busy with training or responding to a call, we will be happy to give you permission to stop by for a visit.
