Message from the Chief

On behalf of the men and women of Black Forest Fire Rescue (BFFR), I am proud to serve a community that values safety, preparedness, and service. Our mission is simple and steadfast: to support and protect our residents, visitors, and shared environment through professional, compassionate, and effective emergency services. This mission guides every decision we make and every response we undertake.

Preparedness and operational readiness are foundational to our success. BFFR is committed to maintaining highly trained personnel, reliable equipment, and strong operational planning so we are ready to respond when our community needs us most. We continuously evaluate risks, train for evolving hazards, and invest in our people to ensure we can deliver a high level of service across all emergency disciplines.

The Black Forest area continues to experience growth in population, development, and overall activity. As our community grows, so must your fire department. BFFR is focused on responsibly growing our organization, staffing, and capabilities to meet these increasing demands while maintaining the high standards our residents expect and deserve.

None of this work is done alone. Black Forest Fire Rescue remains committed to working closely with our residents, local agencies, regional partners, and community stakeholders. Through collaboration, shared responsibility, and open communication, we will continue to provide the best possible emergency services and ensure the safety and resilience of the community we are honored to serve.
