Now Hiring: Part-Time Firefighter

Position Information
- Part-time position
- Pay rate: $26.11 per hour, based on qualifications
- Traditionally scheduled for fewer than 192 hours per month

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Hold an accredited Firefighter I certification
- Hold an accredited Hazardous Materials Operations certification
- Hold a Colorado EMT-B or Paramedic certification
- Possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License or be eligible to obtain one within 30 days of hire
Preferred certifications include:
- Accredited Firefighter II certification
- NWCG Red Card Arduous at FFT1 or higher
- Driver/Operator Pumper
Selected candidates must obtain NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800, NWCG S-130/190, an Arduous Red Card, Firefighter II and Colorado EMT-B IV certifications within one year of hire.
Selection Process
Applicants must successfully complete a selection process that includes an interview and background check. BFFR may also require written examinations, a pack test and/or skills assessments.
