Mitigation Tool Lending Cache
Black Forest Fire Rescue is excited to offer a FREE Mitigation Tool Lending Cache to help residents complete wildfire mitigation projects and improve defensible space around their homes. This will be available starting in October.
Funded through a Ready, Set, Go! grant, the tool cache gives community members access to equipment for common mitigation projects, including limbing trees, clearing brush, and removing dead vegetation.
Available tools include chainsaws, pole saws, McLeods, Pulaskis, loppers, rakes, tarps, eye protection, gloves, and more.
Whether you’re tackling some of the “low-hanging fruit” around your property or working on a larger defensible space project, these tools are available to help make mitigation a little easier and more accessible.
🌲 Borrow. Mitigate. Protect.
