Community Risk Reduction

Community Risk Reduction (CRR) is a proactive approach to keeping the Black Forest community safe by identifying local risks and taking steps to prevent emergencies before they happen. Black Forest Fire Rescue uses education, outreach, partnerships, and prevention programs to reduce the risk of wildfire, structure fires, injuries, medical emergencies, and other hazards. Through programs such as wildfire mitigation, home safety education, community events, emergency preparedness resources, and risk assessments, we work alongside residents to build a safer, more prepared, and more resilient Black Forest.

Our Mission

To identify and reduce risks throughout the Black Forest community through education, prevention, preparedness, outreach, and strong community partnerships.

Our Vision

A prepared, informed, and resilient Black Forest where residents and first responders work together to protect lives, property, and the community we call home.
